Founding a Future on the Field
The Monticello Athletic Club began with a simple goal: to provide local youth with a safe, structured environment to learn the fundamentals of baseball. What started as a small group of volunteers and two diamonds has blossomed into a premier association that serves hundreds of families every season.
Impacting Our Community
Our impact extends far beyond the final score. We pride ourselves on teaching character, discipline, and the true meaning of sportsmanship. Many of our former players return as coaches and sponsors, continuing the cycle of community involvement that defines the Monticello Athletic Club. We are more than a club; we are a family.
Neil Ryder
As a father of five and a lifelong competitor, I have always been passionate about sports and the positive impact they can have on young athletes. Over the past three seasons, I have served as a head travel baseball coach, helping players build confidence, develop their skills, and learn the value of hard work and commitment. Watching young athletes grow both on and off the field has been one of the most rewarding aspects of coaching.
I believe youth sports provide an opportunity to teach lessons that extend far beyond the game, including teamwork, accountability, resilience, and leadership. Whether I am coaching, mentoring, or serving on the Monticello Athletic Club Board of Directors, I am committed to creating a positive, team-focused environment where athletes can thrive. My goal is to help provide programs and opportunities that encourage growth, foster character, and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.

Sarah Jones
My husband and I are proud parents of two daughters who are actively involved in multiple sports, and much of our family’s time is spent at practices, games, and tournaments. Through their experiences, I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that athletics can have on young athletes, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and create lasting friendships. Being involved in youth sports has strengthened my passion for supporting athletes and creating opportunities for them to succeed.
For the past three years, I have coached youth softball and have enjoyed helping players grow both on and off the field. I believe that athletics provide valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, accountability, and sportsmanship that extend far beyond the game itself. As a member of the Monticello Athletic Club Board of Directors, I am committed to providing area athletes with opportunities to compete at a high level while continuing to emphasize player development and a love for the game. I am proud to be part of this community and look forward to helping MAC create a positive, competitive, and rewarding experience for athletes and families alike.

My wife and I have proudly called Monticello home for the past 11 years, where we are raising our two children, ages 10 and 9. Our son currently plays for the Monticello Athletic Club's 10U baseball program, while our daughter enjoys participating in local soccer and golf activities. As a family, we value being actively involved in our community and appreciate the positive impact youth athletics can have on children and families.
For the past three years, I have had the opportunity to coach youth baseball and witness firsthand how sports help shape young athletes both on and off the field. While competition is an important part of athletics, I believe the greatest lessons come through developing teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, perseverance, and respect. As a member of the Monticello Athletic Club Board of Directors, I am committed to creating opportunities that help local youth grow as athletes, leaders, and individuals. My goal is to support programs that build confidence, strengthen character, and contribute to a thriving community for generations to come.

As a former multi-sport athlete, I developed a passion for competition and personal growth through athletics from an early age. That journey ultimately led me to compete at the collegiate level in softball, where I gained a deep appreciation for discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the mindset required to achieve success. The lessons I learned through sports continue to influence both my personal and professional life today.
As a member of the Monticello Athletic Club Board of Directors, I bring a thoughtful, organized, and solutions-oriented approach to supporting the growth and long-term success of our organization. I am passionate about youth development both on and off the field and believe that helping young athletes build confidence, resilience, and a strong work ethic creates a foundation for success far beyond sports. Being actively involved in our community is incredibly important to me, and I am committed to creating opportunities that positively impact local athletes and families.
